A Prayer

On the last day of February, we had our second Immerse without Mike. Daniel M. preached the week before, and then Jon (my husband for those who don't know) preached last week.

Being on the "behind-the-scenes" end of Jon's preparation, a lot of events that happened the week before guided his sermon Wednesday. It was about prayer and how Paul prays differently than what we expect in a prayer.

We pray, often, about the needs, wants, or praises in our lives. Paul prays for the spiritual things that fills up believers and allows them to be a light. I wish I could remember more because it was such an interesting way to reevaluate our own prayers. Take a look at Ephesians 3:14-21 and see the difference in his prayer compared to how we often pray. I'm getting the sermon mixed with my church's Sunday sermon from March 4. They were very similar.

Both sermons taught by the Campus House interns were great. I'm glad that they had the opportunity to teach. It's great practice for whatever plans God has in store for them.

Daniel M. from Feb. 21.

Next Immerse is on March 14! St. Patrick's Day will be close, so wear some green just because it's a great color. See you after break!
