Dead to Alive

Immerse on Wednesday was deep. The sermon on Ephesians 2: 1-10 discussed death and that death isn't the ultimate destination. Paul, who wrote the letter in Ephesians, does bring hope because those who choose to follow Christ are alive in him.

Mike starts his sermon after informing everyone of a few announcements.

Death can be a terrifying thing when someone is skeptical of what awaits on the other side. As believers in Christ, there's no need to be afraid. Death brings them an incredible new life.

Small groups got together after Mike's sermon and in my small group, we discussed the call in the first ten verses of Ephesians 2. I can't speak for the other three groups, but our discussion dug into the tougher parts of being a Christ follower. The other small groups were larger than ours, so I can imagine the great conversations those groups had.

The group led by Jessie, on the far right, prepares to discuss the week's questions.

Next week will surely be another interesting topic as we dive into the next verses in Ephesians 2!

Also, I'm going to leave you with a photo of the delicious dinner we had thanks to the leftovers from Free Lunch. So tasty!

Pasta is the best kind of leftovers.

Thanks for reading!
