Sweet Sustenance

A blog about the Campus House quickly becomes about the food served, and it serves a lot. This week at Free Lunch, pasta filled the bellies of hungry college students. Trivia, the assistant campus minister, made a pesto, a marinara, and an Alfredo pasta. All were vegetarian friendly, but she had chicken nuggets chopped up to add to any of the pastas.

Salad, pasta and chicken nuggets line the table, veggies finding their way into each pasta.

Central Community Christian Church provided money to create the delicious meal. Even though the church wasn't able to come, the food they provided funds for deserves many thanks.

Lunch plates were colorful and the pudding was delicious!

The first half of lunch, three tables filled up and conversations began. When noon arrived, many students started their trek toward their next class. Thirty minutes later, an explosion of students came through, filling all four tables. I wasn't expecting so many students that late!

The joyous noise of laughter and conversations makes the house come alive.

I wonder which church will provide tasty food next week!
