I went to my first women's retreat with Campus House ladies over the weekend.

Three of us traveled to Boone, North Carolina, to our friend and mentor's house on Friday, and a fourth joined us later on Saturday. We played games and watched trivia shows. It was relaxing. (Right: Game of Life board)

Most importantly, we ate food. Not just frozen pizzas or spaghetti. We made homemade pizzas (so much better than frozen) and gyoza. Learning to make our own meals was a fun and exciting experience. I really look forward to using those recipes again!

The gyoza we made! So yummy!

The brownies that we made were perfect with some ice cream.

Aside from the girl time and tasty food, the selling point was Miles the Corgi. He is adorable and truly loves laying on his back like in the photo below. He is a sweetheart, and us girls couldn't get enough of him!

We all had a wonderful time and can't thank our host enough for the memories.
